Remote Data Privacy & Protection Supervisor

Position Responsibilities:
- The Data Privacy & Protection Supervisor will implement and enhance the Reyes Holdings Data Privacy and Protection Program for the US, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations while acting as the subject matter expert for data privacy requirements
- This role involves advising stakeholders, developing policies, training staff, and promoting a culture of data privacy awareness and compliance across designated markets
- You will provide proactive leadership on potential business impacts and obligations of compliance with privacy laws in the US and Canada, considering other international regulations.
- This role supports the growth of new business opportunities by analyzing privacy and data protection implications of new products and services and conducting risk assessments as needed
- The Data Privacy & Protection Supervisor develops guidelines, training, and tools to support accountability and compliance across the organization, elevating awareness about compliance requirements
- This role monitors compliance with US privacy laws and other applicable data protection laws, communicating with internal stakeholders about developments that may impact the business
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to travel 20% on an annual basis
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security or related technical discipline with at least 4 plus years of data privacy, data protection and project management experience and 0 to 1 plus years of supervisory experience or High School Diploma/General Education Diploma and 7 plus years of the above stated experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
- CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT or other professional certifications/associations a plus
- One Trust Privacy Management tool experience
- Exposure to other global Data Protection laws (examples: GDPR, LGPD)
- Experience leading technical implementations with cross functional diverse teams (IT and stakeholders) including vendors
