Interview Process: Virtual Interview via MS Teams video. Please use laptop and be prepared so share screen if asked. Use of headphones is strongly discouraged. A screenshot photo of candidate will be required for any Teams interviews as well as a vendor present at beginning of interview to validate candidate.

Duration: 1 year with possible extension.

On-site: Candidates MUST be local or able to relocate from day of acceptance, at their own expense. Will need to be onsite for hybrid work schedule. NO remote only work allowed.
The position is responsible for providing Infrastructure Architecture support for DHHS and DHHS AS Teams. Not filling the vacancy will result in difficulty supporting mission critical applications related to the health and well-being of the public.

We will not be able to accommodate requests of MDHHS for adding new/maintaining existing applications and services in a timely manner due to lack of availability for the existing resources.

Summary: Assist in supporting the database for new and existing computer applications and systems

Provide support and assistance to users of specified systems as required, using various technologies
Participate with staff and clients on issues relating to operating systems, software packages, and applications
Learn and understand the client's IT business process
Design new database systems using various technologies
Organize program and support documentation
Provide spreadsheets, reports, and presentations for assigned project or small work requests
Adhere to business process techniques and apply to new assignments
Use appropriate programming languages and development tools to develop and maintain specified systems as required, using various
technologies
Troubleshoot system problems when production errors occur, learn to use software debugging tools to isolate problems
Learn to build logical/physical data models
Document all system changes
Participate in the system design and development methodology meetings with other developers and analysts
Arrange and facilitate meetings with clients to evaluate system needs and gather business requirements
Follow State and Agency standards, methodologies, policies, and procedures when developing and maintaining applications
Work with other DTMB team members when tasks call for a cross-team solution
Learn and understand the client's business process
Maintain constant availability to the clients/customers during client working hours
Participate in developing or acquiring test data to determine the accuracy of program logic to produce desired results
Interpret test plans, cases, and scripts
Perform integration tests, system tests, and regression tests

Pay range - $34 to $38 per hour on W2.
