Tax Accountant - North Palm Beach

We are seeking a Tax Accountant in North Palm Beach, Florida for our client. This role involves comprehensive accounting and tax duties within a bustling law firm setting. Working within the Trusts & Estates department, the Tax Accountant will be integral in maintaining and enhancing the tax operations.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and update tax workpapers, utilizing Excel as a key tool
• Prepare a variety of tax forms including but not limited to Forms 1040, 1041, 706, 709, 1065, 1120s, FBAR, 1099
• Scan and manage tax documents and monthly statements, ensuring all information is up-to-date and readily accessible
• Maintain regular correspondence with clients regarding tax-related matters, providing clear and concise communication
• Perform fiduciary accounting tasks, leveraging tools such as Excel and QuickBooks
• Analyze and interpret broker statements, identifying key data and trends
• Research and implement processes to import transactions into GEMS
• Collaborate with attorneys to obtain relevant client information, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless service provision.
• Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tax Accountant.
• Proficiency in preparing Individual Tax Returns is required.
• Experience in handling Estate Tax Return is a necessity.
• Candidate must be well-versed in Trust Tax Returns.
• Expertise in Tax - Fiduciary - Trust & Estate is needed.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
• Applicant should possess skills to Prepare Tax Returns.
