What You'll Do:
This intern position will support the team with various ad hoc projects, data validation & analysis, assist in preparing presentations, and month/quarter/year-end close responsibilities.
In FP&A, our mission is to provide evolving support and guidance to Executive Leadership, Corporate Management, and Business Partners on the company’s financial health, lead forecasting, the business planning process, and creating exceptional financial modeling by linking corporate governance and strategy to execution.The FP&A Team thrives for delivering innovative solutions that enhance financial analysis and improve business performance commentary to continue establishing successful partnerships, promoting synergy, and sharing knowledge to automate processes that helps our company become more efficient in order to save money and time.
Accountabilities- Support corporate FP and A activities, including consolidated company modeling, key metrics analysis, and financial reporting for finance and senior leadership
- Support executive and board level reporting and deck creation, including explaining financial results into high-quality communication
- Lead Finance Intranet updates and partner with teams in Finance to support publishing changes on the intranet pages
- Assist in creating financial models that support multiple, in-depth scenarios
- Implement and evolve processes and models to support our finance team; support company-wide strategic planning and forecasting processes in a manner that is efficient
- Analyze data, develop data models, and use business analytical tools to produce data visualizations
- Collaborating and partnering with all levels of the organization
- Month/Quarter/Year-end reporting support and assistance in financial reporting packages creation and maintenance
- Assist in incentive planning and processes, such as LTI – Long Term Incentives, GEB – General Employee Bonus - Data collection/Analysis/Verification
- Other ad hoc projects.
- Perform administrative tasks as required
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree or Graduate degree; MBA preferred, in Finance
- Actively support the advancement of organizational diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, and apply diversity, equity, and inclusion lens across job responsibilities
- Positive attitude and excitement to contribute and grow!
- Experience with Microsoft Office Programs, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Think-cell, SAP S4 HANA is a plus
- Ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, demonstrate good personal judgment, and effectively handle tasks under pressure
- Demonstrated accuracy, strong organizations skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Building effective relationships
- Working knowledge of all aspects of financial analysis and management
- Knowledge of Financial Key Performance Indicators
- Ability to develop innovative solutions and process improvements based on technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and understanding of financial systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to interface with all internal departments and all levels of management
- In office two-days a week at Newark HQ, remaining Hybrid schedule
