Reporting to the Area Director of Marketing, this is a full-time position with the ability to work on-site at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge at least 3 days per week.

You are are a dynamic and versatile marketing professional skilled in managing all aspects of marketing communications and building robust relationships with key stakeholders and agencies. As a master storyteller, you excel at creating engaging content and collaborating with media, agencies and partners to elevate the Explore Kananaskis brand, promoting our incredible destination to audiences worldwide.

What You’ll Do

Social

• Manages social media channels – creates social calendars, posts organic content, tracks social media engagement metrics and oversees community management

• Surfaces and vets PR leads and liaises with the best media to promote the region
• Creates press releases and responds promptly to media and influencer requests
• Coordinates all aspects of media/brand ambassador/influencer visits
• Maintains a comprehensive list of local/national/international media contacts

• Coordinates and manages advertising campaigns and direct marketing initiatives with agencies (PR, SEM, social, website, email, e-newsletter, blogs, sponsorships, events)

• Coordinates and manages printed promotional and tradeshow materials including managing inventory levels

• Creates monthly blogs and e-newsletters including the development of photography and video assets
• Manages asset library
• Oversees and manages the Ambassador Program

• Monitors and optimizes campaigns
• Gathers marketing performance data, generates reports and presents to Area Director of Marketing and stakeholders as required

• Ensures that all internal and external marketing campaigns and materials follow Brand guidelines

• Develops and nurtures strong relationships with Explore Kananaskis businesses, consistently acting in the best interest of the destination

• Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, Journalism or related major
• 4 years’ experience in marketing coordination, administration or as a Marketing Manager. Hospitality marketing experience is preferred
• Strong project, budget management and creative writing skills
• Proficiency in martech platforms – email platforms, GA4, social media platforms, Google Adwords
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint programs. SharePoint & Teams experience is preferred
