Accounting Manager/Supervisor

We are offering an opportunity for a fully remote Accounting Manager/Supervisor in the non-profit sector, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As part of our team, you will oversee an array of intricate financial procedures, manage our accounting team, and contribute significantly to our corporate finance department.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership and supervision of the accounting department staff
• Oversee the full cycle of accounting activities, including Accounts Payable (AP)
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of AP transactions
• Manage and track the organization's grant funding
• Execute the month-end close and year-end close process
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual single audit
• Conduct cash management and budget forecasting duties
• Collaborate in the implementation and maintenance of Sage Intacct and Intacct ERP systems
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
• Oversee internal audits.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the non-profit sector
• Proven proficiency in MS Great Plains Dynamics and Intacct ERP
• Demonstrable experience in Grant Accounting
• Prior experience in supervising a team
• Proficiency in Cash Management
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct software
• Thorough understanding of Full Cycle Accounting
• Ability to efficiently handle Month End Close
• Solid experience in Audit and Single Audit (non-profit)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
