Maintenance Mechanic 1st Shift (M-F 6a-2p)

Overview:

Engage with warehouse workers and management team to develop and execute process improvement initiatives.

This position is a 1st shift position M-F 6a-2p.

Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (SAP preferred).
• Disassemble and assemble equipment for new installation and repair existing equipment.
• Properly wire 120 to 240-volt single phase circuitry.
• Familiarity with HVAC operations.
• Familiarity with industrial maintenance equipment (drills, saws, pipe cutters, etc.)
• Provide maintenance support operations
• When possible, identify problems before they result in a hazard or downtime situations.
• Maintain water systems and test water.
• Operate air compressor and change filters and oils.
• Operate roof heaters and air conditioners.
• Identify and replace bearings and seals as required.
• Perform Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in warehouse maintenance preferred.
• Training in forklift and pallet jack operation
• Must be able to read and comprehend instruction sheets provided with cleaning chemicals; strong mechanical aptitude helpful.
• Need to have a good base for mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Be able to read schematics.
• Ability to work cooperatively with a team.
• Must have visual, auditory, physical and mental ability to operate equipment safely.

Working Conditions/Environment:

Must be willing to work in a refrigerated environment and must be capable of working at heights exceeding 40 feet.
