Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications
- Collaborate with development teams
- Troubleshoot technical issues
- Implement solutions to optimize application performance
- Run and monitor software performance tests
- Administer critical analysis of test results and provide solutions
- Install/upgrade software products as required
- Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and appearance of web applications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong development skills in:
- C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API
- Java Script, j Query, Node.js
- CSS, HTML
- Cloud AWS
- SQL
- Git Hub Enterprise
- Experience in automating tasks using scripted languages (Bash, Power Shell, or Perl)
- Experience with web services, MVC, WCF, and Web APIs
- Proficiency in building web applications using ASP.NET Core
- Expertise in j Query for DOM manipulation and AJAX requests
- Experience with Bootstrap for responsive web design
- Strong SQL skills, including stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning
Preferred Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field
- Certifications such as Certified Software Development Professional, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional, Git Hub Actions Certification, AWS Certified Developer
- Additional Requirements:
- Public Trust Tier 2 clearance level
- Background check conducted through Capitol Police
- Candidates located to Washington DC only
Work Details:
- Up to 20 hours per week
- Remote work is authorized, but on-site work may be required at CBO's discretion
- Primary location: Congressional Budget Office, Washington, DC
