Senior Accounts Payable Specialist - Jacksonville

We are in the market for a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist located in St Petersburg, Florida. In this role, you'll be tasked with the execution and improvement of accounts payable processes, maintaining critical relationships with vendors, and collaborating with the finance team.

• Efficiently manage the accounts payable function to ensure scalability as the company expands
• Foster and maintain relationships with both new and existing vendors, including vendor setup and W9 requests
• Process payments for different entities and vendors in a timely manner
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies related to payment processing
• Confirm the accuracy of General Ledger account coding and expense reports
• Work closely with the finance team to guarantee a seamless month-end close
• Ensure vendors receive 1099 forms and address any associated issues
• Develop and document essential controls and procedures
• Take part in and support special projects as needed
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable (AP) or a related role
• Proficient understanding of the General Ledger
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies or inconsistencies
• Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with vendors and internal team members
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
