Production Associate (Packer & Sanitation)

Guittard Chocolate Company is an American-based chocolate maker and has made the world’s best chocolate for five generations. We are the oldest continuously family-owned chocolate company in the United States. The company was founded in 1868 and is headquartered in Burlingame, California.

We are looking for skilled Production Associates to support our company’s warehouse operations. You will ensure the production of quality goods while adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Process) compliance. You will pack, load, unload, and perform various warehouse activities.
Responsibilities
  • Pack the product as it comes off the conveyor belts.
  • Inspect products for defects and damage.
  • Organize stock and maintain inventory.
  • Process, package, and ship orders accurately.
  • Use USDA approved chemicals to disinfect surfaces, sanitize all components of our food production, and processing equipment.
  • Organize warehouse space.
  • Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately.
  • Check, verify and fill customer invoices.
  • Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized daily.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements and skills
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required.
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written), required.
  • 1-3 years of production-related experience; mixing and refining skills are desirable.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and reach continuously during the shift, and lift/carry up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
Shifts (with a 30-minute lunch break)
1st Shift: 6:50 AM to 3:20 PM
2nd Shift: 3:10 PM to 11:10 PM
Must be able to train and work all shifts during the 6-month probation period; then will be assigned a home shift.
