Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Immigration Law Clerk to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to draft and write legal briefs in response to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) issued by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of immigration law, excellent research and writing skills, and a passion for advocating on behalf of human trafficking victims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting Legal Briefs: Prepare comprehensive and persuasive legal briefs in response to RFEs issued by USCIS, ensuring all arguments are well-supported by relevant facts and legal precedents.
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support the arguments presented in the legal briefs, including case law, statutes, regulations, and policy memoranda.
- Document Review: Analyze and review client documentation and case files to identify key information and supporting evidence necessary for responding to RFEs.
- Time Management: Ensure timely and accurate submission of the Brief for review by the attorney prior submission to USCIS.
- Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys and other legal team members to gather necessary information, discuss case strategies, and ensure the quality of legal documents.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools (e.g., Lexis Nexis, Westlaw).
Preferred Qualifications: Experience responding to RFEs or working in a law firm specializing in immigration law.
Bilingual or multilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are a plus.
