Job Description

The Senior Operations Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager, and you will be responsible for:

Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Analyze and interpret data to identify areas for process improvement, equipment upgrades, and workflow enhancements.
Oversee the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and improve reliability.
Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives, including value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
Lead the implementation of new technologies and automation solutions to improve production efficiency.
Manage capital projects, including equipment upgrades, plant expansions, and technology integrations.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and operations staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

The Successful Applicant

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
5-10 years of experience in Manufacturing
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies
Proven track record of implementing operational improvements that lead to increased efficiency and cost savings
Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of plastic materials, molding processes, and design principles
Proficient in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools
