Staff Accountant

Clients experience the most breathtaking panoramic views of Boston from our five private event spaces.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounts payable functions, which include managing daily invoices and vendor statements.
• Handle accounts receivable duties such as generating monthly billings, addressing member inquiries, fulfilling information requests, and executing daily A/R entries and banking tasks.
• Undertake collection calls as required to ensure timely payments.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to accomplish various accounting tasks efficiently.
• Generate daily cash and credit card processing reports for reconciliation purposes.
• Respond promptly and effectively to email requests and problem-solving tasks.
• Carry out monthly reconciliation of General Ledger accounts.
• Safeguard the organization's value by ensuring information confidentiality.
• Provide occasional HR support, particularly in relation to new hires and benefits administration.
• Associate’s degree in accounting, bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred
• 5 years experience with general staff accounting
• Food & Beverage experience is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and excel
• Communicates professionally over phone & e-mail
