Senior Product Owner - API Delivery Channel
Fitch Group is currently seeking a Senior Product Owner for our API Delivery Channel. This is a technical role requiring deep expertise in JSON and API technologies. You will be reporting to the Global Head of Shared Technology Services and be responsible for enhancing the functionality, intuitiveness, and performance of our API products.Your role is crucial in ensuring our award-winning research and data products are easily integrated and consistently available via the APIs our clients use daily, thereby becoming an essential part of their workflows.

We'll Count on You To:
- Drive the strategic direction of API products, ensuring they remain essential tools within client workflows.
- Collaborate with the business and the wider product organization to introduce value-add content and capabilities and to increase the adoption of the API channel with our clients.
- Act as the voice of the customer, translating insights and ideas into actionable requirements for the development team.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings.
- Manage and prioritize a product backlog, reflecting immediate and strategic customer and business needs.
- Collaborate effectively with your squad members during sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure high-quality deliverables and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics to ensure the success of the API delivery channel.
- Ensure the APIs are designed and documented according to best practices, with a strong focus on JSON standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed.
What You Need to Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in product management, specifically with API development.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering API products in an Agile environment
- Knowledge of industry-standard API specifications such as OpenAPI (Swagger), JSON, REST and GraphQL.
- Familiarity with API management solutions and/or platforms such as Apigee, AWS API Gateway, or similar.
- Experience with API lifecycle management.
- Demonstrable ability to manage stakeholder expectations and articulate product value propositions.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $215, 000 and $225, 000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.Base pay is one part of Fitch's total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
