Pay: 80K-85K. 2500K sign on bonus. Eligible for on-call pay and visits completed after hours.
Schedule:
- Full-Time
- M-F 0830a-5p
- Weekends? Not normally unless they take on-call
- How many hours expected to work per week? 40
Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Clinical Educator with home health care experience to join our team in Colorado. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive clinical education to staff across the Front Range, ensuring they provide the highest quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct new hire clinical orientations, (including training and competency assessments) across all four Colorado locations, as needed.
- Administer annual competency evaluations for all clinical staff in Colorado.
- Lead and coordinate monthly in-services and Continuing Education Unit (CEU) sessions.
- Partner with the Directors of Nursing to ensure clinical staff are competent in the skills required to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Maintain a small caseload of patients to provide consistent shadowing opportunities for staff.
- Oversee branch SIM Labs, ensuring proper supply management for nursing and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) and Clinical teams on educational initiatives related to Value-Based Purchasing (VBP), Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs), incidents, surveys, and advanced training.
- Develop and manage the student/preceptor program, creating a positive and supportive experience for students as they begin their careers with the agency.
- Assist with OASIS Quality Assurance when educator duties are required, at a minimum.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have an active RN license with the state of Colorado.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in home care
- Must be experienced working with both adults and peds.
- Must be experienced on the home health (intermittent) side as well as the Private Duty Nursing (PDN) side.
- Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
- Must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order and be willing to drive to all four locations for staff training/orientation.
- Must have OASIS experience.
