We are in search of a Database Developer to join our team based in Westwood, Massachusetts. As a Database Developer, you will be tasked with managing and optimizing our SQL server, troubleshooting and maintaining API connections, and designing Azure databases from scratch.

This role lies within the financial services industry and will be carried out on-site. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize the SQL server to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval
  • Write SQL code to facilitate data management and extraction
  • Troubleshoot and maintain API connections to keep the data flow steady and reliable
  • Design and set up Azure databases from scratch, ensuring their stability and efficiency
  • Transfer data from our current database to a new cloud-based server if required
  • Conduct testing to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Utilize Power BI to visualize data and generate insightful reports
  • Understand business requirements and create dashboards to meet these needs
  • Work with cloud technologies to enhance data storage and retrieval processes
  • Handle data sources and ensure their correct integration into the database
  • Position requires a minimum of 5 years' detail-oriented experience as a Database Developer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Cloud Technologies is essential for this role.
  • The applicant should have extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • A strong background in API Testing is desirable for this job role.
