Job Description:

• As a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry within the Cardiology unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to a mixture of Med Surg and Telemetry/Cardiac patients. The role involves close monitoring of cardiac patients with varying acuity levels, utilizing advanced skills in managing cardiac drips and interpreting cardiac strips. The Cardiology N4 unit cares for patients who require continuous telemetry monitoring, with more critical cases transferred to the CICU Floor.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and care for cardiac patients, especially those on telemetry, to track heart function and detect abnormalities.
• Administer cardiac drips and monitor their effects, adjusting doses as necessary.
• Accurately interpret cardiac strips to ensure early detection of any heart-related issues.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care, including wound care, medication administration, and other routine duties related to the patient’s needs.
• Work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including monitoring data, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Requirements:

Experience:

• 2+ years of Telemetry experience (required).
• Strong proficiency with cardiac patients (required).

Skills:

• Expertise in using drips, interpreting strips, and providing care for cardiac patients.
• Ability to manage a diverse patient population, including Med Surg and cardiac telemetry patients.
