Human Resources (HR) Manager

We are seeking a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join a locally headquartered manufacturer . The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our human resources efforts, including overseeing talent acquisition, benefits administration, and employee engagement, among other responsibilities.

This position sits within the HR department and plays a crucial role in executing the organization's talent strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leadership to understand and implement the organization's human resources and talent strategy
  • Provide guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff on complex, specialized, and sensitive HR matters
  • Oversee the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles
  • Participate actively in the Benefits Committee for welfare and retirement programs
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits to propose competitive pay programs for attracting and retaining top talent
  • Develop learning and development programs that offer internal growth opportunities for employees
  • Manage disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, ensuring they are conducted in a fair and consistent manner
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, updating policies and practices as needed
  • Stay abreast of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Supervise the daily workflow of the department, providing constructive and timely performance evaluations and handling discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in a management level position
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Benefits Administration
  • Proven track record in handling Workers Compensation
  • Experience in fostering Employee Engagement within an organization
  • Proficiency in providing Employee Assistance programs
  • Ability to manage and administer Employee Benefit Plans
  • Experience with HR Payroll Systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and integrity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
