All About You:

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized bid manager to join our team. As a Bid Manager, you will play a crucial role in the development and submission of winning bids for our company. You will be responsible for managing bids from initiation to submission, ensuring that all required elements are included and timelines are met.

As a bid manager, you will collaborate with various teams across the organization, including sales, marketing, and operations. You will review bid opportunities, identify potential risks, and develop winning strategies. You will also be responsible for coordinating the bid response process, including preparing proposal documents, managing the bid library, and ensuring compliance with all submission requirements.

The ideal candidate for this role has a strong understanding of bid management best practices and has a proven track record of successfully winning bids. You should be detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong communication skills are also essential, as you will be working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience in bid and project management
  • 5-8 years of technical sales experience in the power generation/T&D utilities market, renewable engergy, and battery energy storage systems
  • Strong understanding of bid management best practices
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end bid process, including reviewing bid opportunities, developing a bid strategy, manage the bid budget, and coordinating the bid response process
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather the necessary information for bids
  • Prepare proposal documents, ensuring that all required elements are included and meet submission requirements
  • Organize and lead the bid review with the sales team
  • Conduct regular reviews of the bid library, updating and enhancing content as necessary
  • Coordinate the status of the bids with the engineering group to ensure that resources are reserved and available for the project
  • Monitor and track bid timelines, ensuring that all deadlines are met
  • Conduct post-bid analysis to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for future bid opportunities
