SCS Engineers is seeking an Industrial Wastewater Engineer in the Southeastern US to continue our expansion of our landfill leachate and industrial wastewater management practice. If you are seeking a practice leadership role in a growth-oriented environmental firm, SCS Engineers needs you.

Responsibilities for this position will include oversight for Liquids Management activities in the Southeast including staff recruitment and development, business development, growth and profitability, quality control, and fostering good overall team morale.

You will be involved in strategic planning, marketing proposals, interviews, and will also be directly involved with public and private clients in marketing, project production, and related issues. You will see that the work is planned, organized, controlled, and evaluated through a proactive project management system, and continuously implement, monitor, and support company policy.

You will also select, train, develop, and manage technical personnel.

How you can make an impact:

  • Providing direction and leadership for the program
  • Manage projects and personnel as necessary to meet both client and SCS expectations
  • Business development including but not limited to: proposal preparation, meeting with clients, and attending industry related conferences/trade shows.
  • Staff recruitment and retention
  • Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering and scientific principles
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
  • Make decisions independently on engineering or scientific problems and methods, plan and coordinate work, and represent the company at meetings and conferences.
  • Office based tasks including but not limited to: Project Management, mathematical calculations, report writing, creating site plans and facility diagrams, permit applications, etc
  • Field work in varied terrain and weather may be required, including but not limited to site visits with clients and staff.
  • Provide technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans or projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering required.
  • P.E. license or ability to be licensed through reciprocity in FL, GA, or AL required
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience, including experience managing design teams required.
  • Technical experience in design of industrial wastewater treatment systems, piping, and process controls as well as report preparation, permit coordination, and construction phase services.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and current engineering design software.

Pay Range: USD $80,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.
