Infection Control Nurse Responsibilities:
- As an infection control nurse, you will be responsible for the prevention of healthcare associated infections for your facility.
- You will monitor and guide the nursing staff in infection prevention methods.
- You will apply the principles of infection prevention to the development of educational and training programs.
- You will train and test the nursing staff.
- You will participate in the development and implementation of an individualized patient care plan for the resident with allied health team members.
Requirements:
Infection Control Nurse Qualifications:
- Infection prevention experience.
- Nursing management experience.
- A valid and current Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois.
- Requires employee to have had no abuse records.
- One year experience as a wound care nurse and/or infection prevention, preferred.
