Overview:

The Banquet Beverage & Bar Supervisor coordinates and oversees the planning and execution of all beverage services within the Food & Beverage department. The primary function of this role is to provide control and oversight over the preparation of Beverages for all Catered events in addition to the planning, preparation, and execution of Catering Bars.
This position will provide beverage quality control and consistency, promote efficiency, and abide by sanitation practices. This role will also support the creation of custom beverages, specialty cocktails, and will create signage and other beverage merchandising.
This is a hands on position and will require physically setting up bars and bar coolers, setting up backup beverage stations, and lifting beverage equipment. This position would also support our Retail Food & Beverage Department with opening or closing Concessions stands, supervising Concessions, and preparing for Retail Concessions events.

It is the goal for this position to provide consistency, quality, innovation, and training within our beverage programs.

This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00 to $22.50.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation, quality control, and oversight of Beverages and Bars relative to Catering functions
  • Adheres to and monitors sanitation practices relative to Catering functions including Beverage Production and holding, dating and labeling, etc.
  • Will assist with Bar Inventories, Catering Consumption Sheets, and Monthly Inventories
  • Supports and prepares for Retail Concessions Events including opening, closing, and supervising Concessions stands when necessary.
  • Will assist with ordering for beverage supplies for events including mixers, garnish, and alcohol
  • Responsible for creation of beverage related signage including specialty cocktails or other specialty beverages
  • Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of beverage equipment, bars, and storage areas
  • Ensures proper handling of all equipment (i.e. china, glassware, silverware, linen, and props) and their proper storage after use.
  • Responsible for leading small teams during beverage preparation and production in addition to training and leading bartenders for set up and events.
  • Supervision of bartenders, watching for overpouring, quality control, and bar safety
  • Regularly reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
  • Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
