Data Scientist
About the Team:
The VIZIO Data Lake team is looking for a highly talented and motivated data scientist to help provide insights, perform A/B testing and other statistical analyses, and to prototype complex ETL’s. We are looking for a dynamic employee to perform non-commoditized data work.The position can be held in one of several offices (Denver, Los Angeles, New York).
What You Will Do:
- Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Develop and write algorithms for use in production.
- Let the problem be the guide, sometimes the solution is a heuristic. Other times, it’s a model.
- Use data to evaluate the efficacy and value of product features.
- Organize and document complex technical projects.
- Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
About You:
- Graduate degree in a STEM field or three years industry experience as a Data Scientist.
- Fluent in Python and SQL.
- High sense of ownership and results driven.
- Basic understanding of predictive analytics, mathematical modeling, and statistics (theory, algorithms, and application).
- Familiar with modern big data technologies and CI/CD frameworks.

For Colorado-based employment: The target salary range is $106,000 - $138,000. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
For New York-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $106,000/year. The maximum salary for this position $138,000/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
