Performance Test Engineer
ABDS, Inc. is currently seeking for a Performance Test Engineer. Position: Performance Test Engineer Location: Atlanta, GA (On-Site). Position Overview: As a Performance Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans that verify the operational quality and technical performance of Warehouse Controls Systems (WCS) Software and the Integration with third party systems, host systems and controls functionality between WCS and the actual material handling equipment.
Responsibilities: Plan, design, and execute performance tests to evaluate the response times, scalability, and reliability of applications under various scenarios. Collaborate with software development and architecture teams to identify performance requirements, test cases, and success criteria.Configure and maintain performance testing environments, tools, and infrastructure. Monitor and analyze application performance using performance testing tools and monitoring solutions. Identify and isolate performance bottlenecks, application vulnerabilities, and resource constraints.
Generate detailed performance test reports, documenting results, issues, and recommendations. Work with development teams to prioritize and implement performance improvements and optimizations. Develop and maintain performance testing scripts and scenarios.
Automate performance tests to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Required Qualifications: Proven experience of 6-8 years in performance testing and engineering Proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
Good Understanding of event-driven architecture. Scripting languages such as Python, Ruby or Perl. Familiarity with Java programming experience Experience with load balancing, server tuning, and database optimization. Knowledge of web services, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
Experience with use of Jenkins and Grafana plug ins for Measuring performance and reports automation Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
Optional Qualifications: Experience with PLCs, barcode scanners, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and other conveyor-related controls is a plus. Educational Qualification: Minimum Bachelor's in Computer Science & Engineering or Equivalent Degree.
