Financial Analyst

We are a prominent organization with an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, reviewing grant expenditures, preparing reimbursement schedules, and handling customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Manage financial reporting and potentially move into handling expenditure documents
• Review and analyze grant expenses and the liability of cost, preparing schedules for reimbursement requests from funding agencies
• Use Microsoft Excel and other accounting software systems for data mining and performing other accounting functions
• Handle invoicing using templates, run the General Ledger for specific accounts, and record expenditures
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently
• Understand and apply accrual accounting principles and auditing techniques
• Participate in budget processes and manage reimbursement requests
• Reconcile invoices and have a working knowledge of Foundation Grants and Government Grants.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions
• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles
• Experience or familiarity with Auditing processes
• Understanding of Budget Processes within a higher education setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with handling Reimbursement Requests
• Knowledge of Invoice Reconciliation processes
• Familiarity with General Ledger operations
• Experience with Foundation Grants management
