CNC Setup AND Operation

Responsibilities- Set up and prepare CNC machines for production runs
- Load and secure workpieces, such as metal bars or billets, onto the lathe chuck.
- Install and configure cutting tools, tool holders, and fixtures.
- Input part programs into the CNC system (via G-code, or preset programming software)
- Operate the lathe machine to execute the machining process.
- Monitor machine performance, ensuring proper tool operation, cutting conditions, and safety procedures.
- Adjust feeds, speeds, and tool offsets as necessary during machining to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Conduct first-article inspections and in-process inspections to check part dimensions and tolerances using precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
- Verify that finished parts meet customer specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
