Senior Financial Analyst
About the position::
Velosio is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to be an integral member of the Finance Team.
As a Senior Financial Analyst at Velosio, you will handle daily FP&A activities and manage financial data processes. Your responsibilities include supporting cross-functional teams to ensure precise, relevant, and effective financial planning and analysis that drives key business decisions.You will oversee the management and development of financial tools for summarizing and assessing business performance, including financial reporting, forecasting, and the annual operating plan. You will also help the company achieve its organic growth goals by tracking progress against key financial metrics, identifying variance causes, and collaborating with business leaders to create solutions.

Your day might look like::
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting and variance analysis. This analysis may include, but is not limited to, locating, profiling, cleansing, extracting, mapping, importing, transforming, validating, or modeling.
- Creates financial models and “what if” scenarios as a key input for business planning decision.
- Use knowledge of business objectives, strategies, and needs to identify opportunities where data can be leveraged to achieve the desired business benefits. Be a true “business partner” by providing fact-based insights to the business to both test existing assumptions and challenge hypotheses to drive better decision-making as a company
- Understand current data context, processes and availability, and how current data processes and existing data can be leveraged to achieve the desired benefits.
- Track and analyze financial KPIs, uncover trends and assess business risks and opportunities to provide recommendations to senior leaders
- Ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the business and systems, perform validation and testing to confirm the accuracy of the information created and identify and execute upon process improvement opportunities.
- Carry out financial analysis at multiple complexity levels including rate of return, budgeting, cost analysis and financial and expense performance comparisons
What you'll bring::
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Over three years of experience in financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Capability to work autonomously with general instructions for new projects.
- Skills in synthesizing diverse inputs and analyses, creating original content, and offering innovative solutions.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and strong organizational abilities.
- High level of integrity and honesty, essential due to handling confidential information.
