Overview:

CAES Lansdale seeks a Supervisor, Quality Assurance reporting to the Quality Manager, supervise daily activities of production inspection pool. Balance workload assignment with business needs, flexing as needed to meet changing priorities. Provide team member development with basic training needs, cross-functional training and career development paths.

Lead approximately 6 - 8 full time inspectors typically assigned to in-process and final (no specialty inspectors).

  • Supervise and guide organization personnel through practices, procedures and certifications.
  • Supervise and review corrective action processes to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Manage and monitor quality control systems to ensure organization is meeting customer quality commitments.
  • Establish priorities and ensure maximum usage of assigned resources.
  • Process, organize, track and report non-conformance reports, deviations/waivers and other manufacturing documentation.
  • Review, distribute and provide final closure of NCR and inspection records.
  • Interface with Quality Assurance personnel, Quality Engineers, Production Supervisors and other functions.
  • Interface with customer personnel for Quality Control function.
  • Develop monthly reports showing inspection and audit performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate and recommend alternative auditing procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Support production leads and operators for interpretation and methods following set standards.
  • Maintain working production component's knowledge and associate next tier application.
  • Conduct meetings regularly with inspection and audit team to help consistency in teamwork.
  • Involve in team driven actions to help improvements.
  • Interpret and support quality policies and implement/maintain procedures to ensure compliance with the Quality Management System.
  • Develop and maintain QA programs complementary to enterprise quality system and corporate objectives
  • Develop new methods to resolve problems occurring during QA / QC Inspection activities.
  • Self-motivated and possess demonstrated ability to motivate other to achieve timely results.
  • All other tasks required to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM:

  • Bachelor's Degree; or directly relevant experience equating to degree earned
  • This role is designed to allow entry into leading Quality Inspectros encompassing the first two years' experience
  • Experience reading and working with blue prints, drawings, Engineering Change Notices, and procedures.
  • Experience working with computers, window based applications, and Microsoft Office.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience in Quality Assurance; Quality Engineering; Quality Inspection
  • Aerospace or defense industry experience
  • Inspection or manufacturing experience
  • Clean room procedure experience.
  • Inspection is a service center. The ability to lead people and collaborate cross-functionally is critical
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize to fit the strategy of the business
  • Strong continuous / process improvement mindset

Annual Range: $71,316 - $88,096 annually (Lansdale, PA)

Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate. CAES provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, 401K, paid holidays and vacation.
