Powder Coat Lead Techinician/Supervisor

Overview:

This is a hand's on leadserhip role, direct involvement in the operational process will be required.

Responsibilities:

• Train designated personnel on powder system operations and the various components
• Leads and manages all aspects of the powder coating department operations
• Provide direction in the resolution of technical and production related problems to assure completions of schedule
• Supervise team members in a manner that fosters a safe work environment and self-directed team approach
• Maintains system as required to ensure uninterrupted process
• Performs preventative maintenance per schedules as required
• Accountable for operations and maintenance of powder coating system in accordance with production requirements
• Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures
• Optimize powder line quality and productivity in concert with supply and demand
• Maintains high quality standards for all powdered products
• Maintains an efficient and effective washing system
• Notifies quality of defects
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
• Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge of powder coating, automated powder coating lines
• 5+ years’ experience in powder coating
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving capabilities
• Must be able to read and understand powder coating specifications, general assembly/ shop drawings
• 2+ years’ experience with ERP utilization
