Description:
- We are seeking a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) to assist the surgical team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). The CST will maintain a safe and aseptic environment during operative procedures, demonstrating teamwork and ensuring patient safety.
- Assist the surgeon during operative procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficiency and safety during surgeries.
- Prepare and manage surgical instruments and supplies.
Requirements
Education/Experience:
- Must have completed a Surgical Technology program, or
- Five consecutive years of training/experience as a surgical tech, or
- LPN with one year of surgical tech experience preferred.
Experience:
- CVOR experience required.
Skills Checklist:
- Current to within the last year, pertinent to the specialty.
Licenses/Certifications:
- National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
