Systems Engineer

This is a Direct Hire/Permanent Placement position.

Systems Design & Implementation:

• Plan, design, and deploy IT solutions based on client needs, including Windows Server environments, Office 365 migrations, Azure cloud solutions, and networking upgrades.
• Lead projects from conception through implementation, ensuring solutions align with best practices and client expectations.

Network & Infrastructure Management:

• Configure, monitor, and maintain client networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related server technologies.

Office 365 & Azure Expertise:

• Administer and support Office 365 environments, including user migrations, access permissions, and application integrations.
• Leverage Azure cloud solutions to create scalable, secure, and efficient IT environments.

Security Implementation & Monitoring:

• Implement and manage security best practices across networks, servers, and client environments.
• Monitor client systems for potential vulnerabilities, threats, and breaches, implementing proactive mitigation strategies.

Customer Service & Collaboration:

• Act as a trusted advisor by maintaining strong relationships with clients and providing technical expertise with professionalism and transparency.
• Work collaboratively with the IT team and clients to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure optimal system performance.

Documentation & Process Improvement:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation, diagrams, and change management records.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and improve client outcomes.

Training & Mentoring:

• Mentor junior IT team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster a collaborative and growth-focused environment.

Required:

• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role, with expertise in IT managed services or enterprise IT environments.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server (2012/2016/2019), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related technologies.
• Proficiency with Office 365 administration and support.
• Networking experience, including configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network protocols.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud architecture and implementation.
• Strong understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
• Exceptional troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical analysis skills.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred:

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, MCSE, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, or equivalent certifications.
• Experience in a client-facing role within a managed services provider (MSP) environment.
• A proven track record of successfully managing technical projects and IT system migrations.
