Job Description

The Senior Operations Engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Driving innovation in manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Defining and implementing processes for small-batch, custom parts.
  • Managing critical projects, including capital investments and equipment upgrades.
  • Developing and optimizing production methods and business processes.
  • Using statistical analysis and engineering principles to improve processes and designs.
  • Collaborating with Quality Assurance to monitor yields and implement continuous improvement.
  • Supporting and maintaining automated inspection systems and equipment.
  • Supervising and mentoring team members, including Engineering Technicians and junior Engineers.
  • Collaborating on the design and implementation of fixtures for production.
  • Maintaining accurate process documentation and validate work instructions.
  • Conducting quality checks and participate in problem-solving activities.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Senior Operations Engineer will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related engineering field. Master's degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Expertise in forming and finishing processes is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge and application of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and leadership skills.
  • Experience in the semiconductor, glass or polymer manufacturing industry is preferred, but not required.
  • Proven experience managing and developing technical teams.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems.
