We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in MUKILTEO, Washington. This role primarily involves performing various accounting functions within the service industry, including maintaining and reconciling accounts, processing payments, and assisting with tax processes.

• Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable including invoice coding, entering invoices, and processing checks
• Handle various accounting entries including bank transactions and amortizations
• Perform account reconciliation for balance sheet accounts and bank statements
• Keep track of and process customer Personal Property Taxes
• Assist in the processing of Sales Tax and Estimated Tax
• Contribute to the preparation of yearly compilations by external CPA
• Process all income tax return payments and mailings
• Generate and analyze reports on vendors and general ledger accounts
• Complete special projects as assigned and contribute to team effort by achieving desired results
• Process 1099’s for appropriate vendors by reconciling payment information and filing 1099’s. • Must have a basic understanding of Accounting principles and financial statements
• Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is preferred
• Proficiency in Account Coding and Account Analysis is required
• Experience with Accounting Entries and Accounting Functions is beneficial
• Knowledge of Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) is desired
• Familiarity with MS Great Plains Dynamics is advantageous
• Must have strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required
• Must have a commitment to maintaining high ethical standards
• Should be able to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
• Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills is expected
• Must have legal authorization to work in the service industry.
