SAP Fixed Assets Configuration SpecialistCincinnati, OH (Monthly once travel required from Mon to Fri)ContractContract DescriptionEngage with clients to gather detailed requirements for fixed asset management, project systems, and related processes, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs.Perform configuration tasks within SAP, including setting up the chart of depreciation, depreciation areas, asset classes, and depreciation keys to align with client specifications.Configure and manage the assignment of depreciation areas to accommodate multiple ledgers and currencies, addressing complex financial reporting requirements.Apply expertise in configuring tax depreciation areas, considering variations in useful lives and depreciation rates as per tax regulations.Oversee the settlement process from Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements to Assets under Construction (AuC) and to the final fixed asset, ensuring accurate capitalization.Qualifications7+ years of proven experience with SAP IS-Media for fixed assets, including integration with project systems and managing pre-publication related asset processes.Strong knowledge of SAP Fixed Asset module configuration, including the ability to understand and set up unique processes for pre-publication assets.Familiarity with data conversion tools such as the Legacy Transfer Migration Cockpit LTMC) to assist in the migration of legacy asset data into (link removed)pability to perform critical month-end and year-end closing activities for fixed assets, ensuring compliance with accounting (link removed)prehensive understanding of the end-to-end asset lifecycle, from material purchase through cost transfer to asset capitalization, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve depreciation-related issues.
