About The Role:
Central Texas Recruiting has a client searching for a Quality Engineer Manufacturing to oversee product quality from purchase order to shipping. This role ensures compliance with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and industry standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Process Improvement
Develop and implement inspection, testing, and evaluation standards.Establish and refine methods for handling discrepant materials, assessing cost and responsibility.
Guide teams in measuring, inspecting, and testing products to ensure quality and reliability.
Support shop floor manufacturing cells and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Maintain records and procedures in compliance with AS9100 standards.
Customer & Supplier Engagement
Communicate purchase order specifications to internal teams and external suppliers.Interface with customers and suppliers to address quality concerns and deviations.
Respond to customer corrective actions and issue corrective actions to suppliers as needed.
Audits & Compliance
Perform internal audits and ensure compliance with industry standards.Review customer purchase orders, specifications, and engineering drawings.
Monitor and improve internal work instructions to align with quality objectives.
Act as custodian for the Material Review Board (MRB) and generate reports.
Continuous Improvement & Problem-Solving
Prepare process approval requests and first article data for characteristic accountability.Lead problem-solving initiatives and support Six Sigma methodologies.
Participate in EHS programs and policies to promote workplace safety and compliance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Bachelors degree in engineering, manufacturing, or quality management.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
Preferred Certifications & Skills:
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) credential.
Proven leadership in cross-functional product teams.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities (written & verbal).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Project Management tools.
Self-motivated, with the ability to drive initiatives and manage multiple tasks.
