Hospice and Palliative Care Music Therapist

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Music Therapy.
• Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC) required within two years of appointment.
• Limited permit may be considered for appointment.

Duties:

• Provides compassionate music therapy services for terminally ill pediatric patients.
• Uses music to promote relaxation, alleviate pain, and provide emotional support.
• Facilitates memory-making activities with patients and families.
• Works closely with the palliative care team to enhance quality of life.
• Supports grieving families through therapeutic music interventions.
