We are offering a contract for a Project Manager/Sr. Consultant role in the banking industry, based in Denver, Colorado. As a Project Manager/Sr. Consultant, you will be at the helm of IT projects that align with strategic goals, ensuring they are delivered within the defined scope, budget, and timeline.

Responsibilities
  • Lead comprehensive IT projects in the banking sector, including digital transformation, compliance, system upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across different business units to clearly define project objectives, requirements, and success criteria.
  • Develop detailed project plans, manage resources, and oversee project schedules to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and manage risks that could affect project success, implementing contingency plans as necessary.
  • Oversee project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure alignment with financial limitations.
  • Ensure all projects comply with banking regulations, cybersecurity standards, and organizational policies.
  • Foster relationships with third-party vendors and partners to ensure smooth integration and delivery of project components.
  • Regularly update senior management and stakeholders with progress reports and performance metrics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • PMP Certification (or equivalent) is required; Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus.
  • 5+ years of IT project management experience, with a strong focus on banking or financial services.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking systems, compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, AML, KYC), and IT infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects from initiation to closure.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello) and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
