Program Manager, Collision Internships

You will be an integral contributor in accelerating the expansion of Tesla Collision Centers. In this role, you will be responsible for launching and scaling Tesla Collision Internship Programs. We are looking for an engaging, and driven Program Manager with experience leading multidisciplinary programs from inception to implementation.
A successful candidate will be an expert problem solver who can communicate effectively and clearly to stakeholders and has a wide range of program management experience in operations, procurement, supply chain, external vendor management experience, training, or workforce development.

You will partner with the manager to set program strategy, develop operational metrics and processes, complete business cases as required, and optimize the program to reduce costs and decrease risks and errors over time.

Multiple locations available: Fremont, CA; Austin, TX.
  • Operationalize and scale Tesla Collision Internship programs
  • Develop and manage external relationships with vocational partners. Negotiating agreements as required, ensuring class fill rates are met, holding Business Review and performance management discussions as needed, leading joint continuous improvement projects, developing reporting tools, and tracking partnership performance metrics
  • Partner closely with internal field teams to develop talent planning strategies, implement internal on-the-job training programs, procure tooling as needed, develop reporting tools to monitor success, provide training as required
  • Properly scope and develop project plans, manage all communication, organize required meetings and check-ins, and update internal communication platforms as needed
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to improve customer satisfaction (internal or external), reduce program costs, and streamline the processes. Act as the point of contact for feedback, issue reporting, and resolution management
  • Comply with all Tesla safety rules, guidelines, standards, and perform other duties as assigned
  • 3-5 Years of experience in project or program management with experience in operations, or supply chain. Automotive experience is preferred but not required
  • Experience working with Workforce Development teams, Externship programs, Internship programs, or Workforce training programs a plus
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage large complex projects or teams across a distributed organization in a fast-paced environment and navigate through an ambiguous environment. Must enjoy challenges
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism capable of establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with internal and external partners. Ability to deliver results through influence without authority
  • Strong computer, reporting, and presenting skills – suite of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), JIRA, Confluence. Capable of lifting 50lbs. and driving forklift
  • 60% travel domestically and international based on business needs
  • Valid driver's license preferred
