Accountant (Construction)

Construction Trades Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our client's construction projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health and regulatory compliance of projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets to ensure financial stability and project success.
• Process invoices efficiently and monitor project-related expenses closely.
• Collaborate with project managers to assess financial progress and make informed projections.
• Conduct thorough cost analyses and prepare detailed financial reports for stakeholders.
• Ensure strict compliance with applicable financial regulations and guidelines specific to the construction industry.
• Perform regular audits to verify the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
• Track, reconcile, and manage project inventory effectively.
• Review and authorize payments to vendors and contractors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Work in tandem with different departments to maintain alignment on all financial aspects of ongoing projects.
• Handle payroll management for construction employees and independent contractors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in construction accounting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles in the construction industry.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
