Payroll Specialist

Our client in Westchester County is in need of a Certified Payroll Specialist. This role is contract in nature and could result in a long-term employment opportunity. Out client is location in an area that is accessible via public transportation.

• Monitor, review and submit all Certified Payroll reports on a weekly basis.
• Responsible for the collection, organizing and filing of all Sign-in Logs from the various job sites.
• Perform a detailed check of all Certified Payroll Reports to ensure that the hours for each person on the job site matches the hours recorded on the Sign-in logs. Also, ensure that the hourly wage rate on the Certified Payroll report for each person is the same as the applicable state prevailing wage for the time period the certified payroll report covers.
• Prepare the Monthly Employment Utilization Report and the Monthly Workforce Utilization Table Report.
• Prepare monthly OCIP and CCIP insurance forms for applicable jobs.
• Responsible for the packaging and mailing of all Certified Payroll reports for WDF and subcontractors to the Prime Contractors.
• Upload electronic Certified Payroll to the NYC School Construction Authority, LCP Tracker for the Newark Airport project and eComply for applicable NYCHA jobs.
• As needed, process cost moves for field employees in JD Edwards that relate to payroll adjustments.
• As requested, provide external auditors with copies of Certified Payroll reports and Insurance reporting documents.
• As requested, provide copies of timesheets for payroll audits.
• Responsible for the filing and scanning of all Certified Payroll reports and Insurance reporting documents.
• Backup support to the payroll position in the event of illness or vacation.
• Process interim checks as necessary.
• Process Union target money requests on various jobs.
• Ad hoc tasks as assigned.
• Hands on experience with Certified Payroll - union experience a must

• Must be able to work on site 5 days a week
