We are looking for an experienced Finance leader to support the CFO and executive team at PLUS Communications to manage all financial reporting, compliance, and day-to-day operating priorities across our multiple internal entities.
The Controller will oversee the Finance team day-to-day and serve as liaison between the CFO and both client-facing and operational colleagues, team members, external partners, and other key stakeholders. The Controller will lead financial integration and reporting requirements with parent company Omnicom (NYSE: OMC), as well as the continuous improvement of all financial reporting requirements and compliance processes.Additionally, the Controller will support the CFO in special projects aligned with the firm’s strategic priorities for the year.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Finance professionals to execute on and deliver gold-standard A/R, A/P, revenue management, financial reporting and compliance requirements
- Serve as a liaison between internal operations teams and client teams overseen by the Partners to drive revenue reconciliation; fill in as a representative for the CFO on calls where appropriate to ensure smooth communication across all teams
- Lead integration of all financial systems, reporting and tools required by Omnicom and make recommendations as needed to preserve PLUS functionality
- Manage and run a semi-monthly payroll, serving as liaison with HR and Omnicom’s Payroll and Health and Welfare Teams
- Identify and execute on strategic projects and drive a culture of continuous improvement and learning
- Build long-term, high-trust relationships with internal stakeholders, strategic partners, and vendors
- 8-10 years of cumulative experience, including as an Assistant Controller, Director of Finance or equivalent experience across time in similar roles
- Public company or Top 15 public accounting experience, including SOX and compliance leadership
- Proven success completing complex projects with numerous stakeholders on tight timelines
- Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions and the ability to make fast, sound decisions aligned with the concerns or preferences of the firm
- Interest in and ability to develop and motivate a team of finance professionals to destination state
- Current Controller experience and CPA
- Microsoft PowerBI expertise
- Experience in high-performing communications or public affairs agency environments with a media buying component
