Who You Are:

Museum of Ice Cream is looking for a Clean Team Lead to join our fun-filled team. The Clean Team Lead will serve as the primary liaison between the cleaning team and facilities management. This role is crucial for driving team success by setting a high standard and exemplifying leadership.

The Clean Team Lead will ensure the facilities manager’s plans and schedules are executed effectively. They will also report any discrepancies in daily operations to the facilities manager promptly.

In addition, the Clean Team Lead will assist with ordering cleaning supplies, organizing common areas, and maintaining our facilities to the highest standards. They will collaborate with the facilities manager to develop and implement strategies for streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency.

Daily responsibilities include performing high-level cleaning tasks with a focus on deep cleaning projects and team support, as well as standard cleaning duties. The Clean Team Lead must inspire and motivate the team by consistently demonstrating excellence in their role.

Requirements

Your Day-to-Day:

Opening Duties:

  • Conduct morning walkthroughs with the Facilities Manager (FM) to create a daily plan.
  • Ensure each zone is "show-ready" for the day.
  • Communicate morning tasks effectively to the team to set them up for success.
  • Assist with morning deep clean projects.
  • Provide support to the team as needed.
  • Report any damages in the space to the FM.
  • Support opening operations as necessary.

Midday Duties:

  • Provide support to the team as needed.
  • Assist the FM in ensuring the team stays on task and is productive.
  • Support the team with organizational projects.
  • Communicate team needs to the FM (supplies, support, staffing).
  • Collaborate with the FM on best practices for the clean team.
  • Fill in for team members during breaks as needed.

Closing Duties:

  • Ensure morning clean team zones are checked and "show-ready."
  • Set up the PM team for success by ensuring trash is removed, mops are stocked, and the shift is ready to begin.
  • Assist in getting the PM team started for the day.
  • Support the PM team until the lead shift concludes.
  • Ensure a smooth closing by enforcing best practices and standards.

Receiving Deliveries:

  • Check and verify incoming orders.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of cleaning supplies.

The Necessities and Nice-to-Haves:

  • 18 years or older
  • Open availability, including weekends
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery, training provided
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
