Network Engineer

KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for Network Engineer.

Skills:-Experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN, DMVPN, VPN, and high-availability routers, switches, and firewalls in a large 5G wireless network.-Support for protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, TCP/IP, MPLS, Segment routing, IPv4, subnetting, routing.-Familiarity with Cisco ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, and Cisco ISE is a plus.-General knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and platforms (NCS, ASR, ISR, Nexus ACI/APIC).-Network configuration automation experience (scripting with Perl/Python/Bash), SD-Access, and DNA Center a plus.-Experience with AWS infrastructure a plus.Project Implementation:-Provide advanced technical leadership for complex projects.-Collaborate with teams to gather requirements, create specifications, and design solutions for 5G wireless network projects.-Lead and mentor junior team members.-Implement and maintain network projects.-Develop lab implementations to validate design specifications.-Ensure the reliability of the 5G wireless network.-Monitor network services using tools like Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Solarwinds Orion.Network Operations:-Ensure 5G network systems meet 99.95% uptime.-Conduct network performance tuning and audits.-Design and implement network services.-Monitor network services and processes.-Extensive knowledge of Cisco routers and switches (Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS).-Validate network configurations and alarm settings.Education and Experience:-Bachelor's degree in Computer/Network Engineering or related field.-Ten years of experience as a data network specialist in a medium to large service provider or enterprise network.-Equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills and Qualifications:-Advanced knowledge of network monitoring and performance tools (Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Wireshark, SolarWinds).-Strategic thinker with a strong interest in nationwide network infrastructure roadmaps.-Commitment to process improvement and customer satisfaction.-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.-Results-oriented team player, capable of working within a cross-functional team.
