Part Time- Meals On Wheels Driver - Hamilton

Overview:

This employee will work work under the direction of the dispatchers/schedulers as well as appropriate supervisors and are expected to work as part of the team of drivers to ensure appropriate transportation coverage.

Is based on experience starting at $12.00 an hour.

8am to 1pm Monday through Friday depending on route

Responsibilities:

• Deliver choice meals (frozen, chilled, hot, and/or therapeutic) to clients in a safe, friendly, responsible, and timely manner. Document the time of each delivery and report to supervisor any unusual circumstances or inability to deliver the specified meals.
• Deliver shelf stable meals to clients 3 to 4 delivery weeks per year.
• Deliver donated gifts to clients during the Christmas Holiday season as part of the Giving Tree program.
• Distribute communication items to client’s residence during meal deliveries (i.e. menus, holiday letters, satisfaction surveys, other reminders, etc
• Do vehicle checks daily for maintenance requirements/needs and provide documentation and beedback when needed to departmental staff
• Attend and successfully pass all driver education classes as required by the department. COA and Community First Solutions specications

Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s licensure with proof of Auto
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must understand and be able to access email, use a GPS device, electronic tablets and learn new technology as it relates to the job.
• Must be willing to work after hours of standard operation including some weekends and Holidays
