Staff Accountant

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in BALTIMORE, Maryland. As a Staff Accountant, you will be expected to handle cash management, account reconciliation, and journal entries. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage cash receipts
• Regularly monitor bank accounts and perform account reconciliations.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks and reporting.
• Ensure all customer inquiries are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when needed.
• Assist in managing journal entries and maintaining accurate records.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic planning and decision making.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations
• Minimum of one year experience in a similar role or relevant field.
• Proficient in cash management and account reconciliation.
• Comfortable with preparing and posting journal entries.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
