The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to inspire and educate students in the visual arts. The ideal candidate will foster a love for art, encourage creativity, and help students develop their artistic skills across various mediums.This role involves designing engaging lesson plans, promoting artistic expression, and cultivating a supportive classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties as assigned.- Develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum that aligns with educational standards and meets the diverse needs of students.
- Teach various art techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and artistic exploration.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Organize art exhibitions and displays to showcase student work and promote appreciation for the arts within the school community.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate art into cross-curricular projects and events.
- Stay updated on current trends in art education and incorporate innovative practices into the classroom.
- Manage classroom resources, including art supplies and equipment, ensuring they are available and in good condition.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative learning environment.
Qualifications:
The Qualifications- BA degree required
- Teaching license in Art
