The Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute (SSIHI) is a part of UCI Health and the Susan & Henry College of Health Sciences. The Samueli Institute is working to transform healthcare through the practice of integrative health by conducting rigorous research, promoting evidence-informed treatment modalities, educating the public, providing individualized, patient-centered clinical care, and providing services to the community that focus on obtaining optimal health.

Responsibilities:

The Integrative Cardiac Rehabilitation Program Manager uses advanced operational concepts and objectives to resolve highly complex issues within the cardiac rehabilitation program. This role regularly involves working on issues that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, necessitating sophisticated analysis of situations or data.
The manager exercises judgment in selecting appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve optimal results and program goals. They primarily manage programs and proposals with a broad impact across various functions, research initiatives, and educational programs.
Additionally, in collaboration with the Executive Director and Chief Administrative Officer, the program manager will develop and oversee the implementation of innovative programs and processes, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with the latest best practices in cardiac rehabilitation.
The manager ensures compliance with credentialing standards, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to integrate new treatment modalities, and creates evidence-informed educational materials and resources for patients and healthcare professionals.

They also identify opportunities for program expansion and communicate effectively with stakeholders to align program goals with organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Advanced knowledge of common organizational- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and influence, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
  • Advanced project management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of organizational or initiative processes, protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques.
  • Advanced analytical / problem-solving skills.
  • Certified exercise physiologist or formal licensure/training in exercise physiology and/or cardiac rehabilitation.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing innovative healthcare programs, particularly in integrative cardiac rehabilitation, with a focus on evidence-informed practices.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders, including but not limited to leadership, healthcare professionals, patients, and organizational leaders, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience working in cardiac rehabilitation programming and/or project management.

  • Master's degree
