Reputable boutique firm is seeking a litigation secretary to join their closeknit team. Your main role will be supporting the litigation team. This role involves managing legal documents, assisting attorneys, and maintaining communication with court personnel and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process and file legal documents, both physical and electronic
  • Assist attorneys in preparing, revising, and finalizing various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and correspondence
  • Ensure accurate and timely e-filing of court documents using federal and state systems
  • Manage attorneys' calendars, scheduling depositions, court hearings, trials, and client meetings
  • Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and other required litigation materials
  • Maintain regular communication with court personnel, opposing counsel, process servers, and clients
  • Track litigation deadlines, ensuring attorneys are well prepared for hearings, motions, and trials
  • Manage administrative duties such as copying, scanning, mailing, and managing attorney correspondence
  • Utilize skills in Adobe Acrobat, Case Management Software, Calendar Management, Civil Litigation Experience, e-Filing, and Tables of Contents (TOC)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is necessary for document management tasks
  • Familiarity with Case Management Software for handling and organizing legal cases
  • Ability to manage calendars effectively for scheduling appointments and meetings
  • Prior experience in Civil Litigation is important for understanding legal proceedings
  • Knowledge of e-Filing procedures to ensure accurate and timely submission of legal documents
  • Proficiency in creating Tables of Contents (TOC) for organizing and indexing legal documents
