Procurement Specialist
Location: Remote, 10% travel to New Jersey.
Duration: Fulltime
Procurement Specialist is responsible for implementing IT & non-IT sourcing plans, supplier & contract management, negotiation, and project management. This position requires proven sourcing experience in IT & non-IT and effective cross functional project leadership, negotiation, collaborative, analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities:Contract Drafting and Management:
Develop and launch RFQs / RFPs (request for quotation/proposal) to select suppliers in IT & non-IT categories, projects, and support services.
Analyze the proposals and make recommendations to key internal stake holders.
Negotiate quality, time and cost of service as well as other commercial terms and conditions.
Draft and review various commercial contracts and work collaboratively to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize both routine and non-routine commercial contractual documents with efficiency and accuracy.
Assess complex solicitations, identify potential risks and regulatory considerations, and propose appropriate mitigation strategies.
Evaluate and analyze terms, conditions, and legal requirements within proposals, bids, and contract modifications.
Help in contract ratification activities, interacting with supplier and Legal teams.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulations, providing guidance and support to management.
Identify risk analysis factors to provide insightful recommendations on matters pertaining to contract terms and conditions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop responses and propose alternative terms or language as needed.
Organize, manage, and prioritize multiple proposal or contract negotiations efforts concurrently.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop a negotiation plan and lead negotiations with suppliers to obtain the best value for the services while mitigating legal risks for the Enterprise.
Project ManagementHelp in monitor, review and communicate the project status (with respect to contractual commitments of the supplier).
Anticipate and alert key stake holders in case of non-compliance with the contractual commitments.
Supplier EvaluationSet up standard KPIs for Suppliers within assignment.
Evaluate and manage the performance of Contract suppliers.
Define the objectives of improvement of performance and the necessary action plans.
Manage the implementation of action plans.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement and Contract Development & ManagementMinimum of 2 years of experience with sourcing and negotiations of IT services
Hands-on experience developing IT and non-IT RFIs/RFPs
Experience negotiating contracts with large IT and non-IT outsourcing vendors
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, multi-cultural, matrix environment
Proactive: anticipates issues/opportunities & can work through multiple simultaneous projects
Rigorous data analysis capability and financial acumen
Track record of effectively incorporating risk-mitigating clauses into contracts or by addenda to enhance operational and legal outcomesFamiliarity with data privacy, data governance, government policies and regulations, and applicable laws governing procurement
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks of varying complexities and successfully set priorities for meeting time-bound deliverables
Exceptional analytic, organization, presentation, and interpersonal skills with applied solid judgment and strategic thinking
Strong collaboration, communication (written and verbal), and influencing skills
Experience with procurement of software and related technology services
Experience working and interacting with paralegals, attorneys, senior level management
Added Bonus If You HaveFamiliarity with Ariba (or similar tools).
Pharma/Healthcare industry experience.
