Senior Accountant

This is a contract role with potential for contract to hire. Role can work a hybrid schedule, with occasional onsite presence in Springfield.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the completion of general accounting functions, including regular accounting entries.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks and data management.
• Process and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
• Use PowerShell for various accounting tasks and system management.
• Work with SQL for data management and accounting tasks.
• Utilize PhP for various system and data management tasks.
• Monitor and take appropriate actions on customer accounts.
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records.
• Proficiency in Month End Close procedures
• Demonstrated experience with Quarter-end and Year End Closings
• Solid understanding of Accounting Entries
• Proficient in executing various Accounting Functions
• Knowledge of PHP is required
• Familiarity with SQL
• Skilled in using PowerShell
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Previous experience in the Steel Manufacturing industry would be advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of integrity and dependability.
